| Details: | I will highly recommend Marty Cipolla / Piano Doctor. We just had him tune two pianos of ours a couple of week ago. We have been using his service for 12 years. I have been recommending our piano technician Marty Cipolla with 40-year tuning experience all along if some of you recall. He has been tuning our pianos for the past 10 years. Besides his experience, he is very trustworthy and reliable. I am not a musician, but I do recognize his tuning last longer than any others we have ever used. He just tuned our two pianos late last year again. During the period that I lost contact with him due to our moves, we used various technicians including David Kim and Bruce Anderson. We are just happy to be able to locate him afterwards. This is his number 540-661-8330, also you can find out more about him through his website at www.mypianodoctor.com. My husband was able to get a discounted rate of $100 per tuning for Chinese community but it was several years ago. You can always try to mention Hao's name to him (or use your own negotiation skill) and I am sure he will accommodate to his best since he appreciates very much the business we have given him. 2014-03-13 12:46:54 |

I got tuning from others before, but decided to switch to Mr. Cipolla after seeing the recommendation here. It turned out to be very disappointing. He only spent half a hour on the work, and I thought he might be a genius because other guys we had before all worked more than 2 hours. But then I found the top board is tilted. I asked him about it. He answered that that board is out of shape, without thinking. I suggested that the board might not be in place, and he checked again and corrected the position of the board. It is a tiny issue but it shows how careless he is! The bad thing is that the piano is not in tune at all according to my son who has perfect pitch.
