Details: | Email: a1.education@yahoo.com Why A1 Education ? Smaller class size (6-9 students/per class) to get more attention for each student from the teacher. Lower cost thanks to some parents' volunteered work. Better teachers thanks to our robust teacher selection/interview systems. A1 Education doesn't make any profit out of these classes. Every penny goes back to each class (All the money we collect go to teacher's payment, administration fee and rental fee.) Why we are doing this for none profit? Because our own kids are taking these lessons. We want to find better teachers with lower cost. Again, thanks for all the volunteer works that some parents provide. An ancient aphorism was that the purpose of education is to transform empty minds into open ones. At A1 Education, we believe that education is a key for this purpose, as it provides practice for important mental faculties such as rational thinking and critical analysis that allow students to succeed in the real world. In addition, education creates the foundation for technical skills in subjects as various as physics, biology, and computer science. A1 Education serves as a supplementary program that doesn't just help students excel in school, but go even farther in the pursuit of their future. 2013-01-06 17:24:09 |

Junior Parent/Student Workshop by A1 Education Dear Parents, As you may already know, Nancy's college counseling work has greatly benefited many people in this community. A1 Education are group of parent volunteers(kids are in Thomas Jefferson High School, Loudoun County AOS program, Langley High School and so on) who are working together with Nancy to design a program that best fit into our community as well as saving your budget via doing group classes and group discount. Per parents' input, A1 Education and Nancy would like to expand this workshop to include students as well. Nancy will talk to students regarding how they can plan for next 10 months to catch up things and how they can communicate their worries(or anything) to parents or get outside helps. A1 Education is working on inviting one or two parents of TJ class of 2013 to talk about what they benefited from Nancy's help. Nancy's helps have made TJ students' dreams come true. In the past 2012 Christmas season, her students have earned Honors of taking seats in top 5 universities from early action admission. Nancy's consulting work is not just helping student write an essay, instead she can find the shining side of kids and guide parents and kids to present to school counselors/teachers and university admission officers. Also it will help to smooth the process and reduce the pressure for both parents/students. College application is a complicated process and there are many areas that you and your kids need to pay close attention to especially for new immigrants. For this reason, A1 Education organize the first workshop for class of 2014 tailed for you and your rising senior - "Junior Parent/Student Workshop by A1 Education and Dr. Nancy Levonian". The registration form is attached. We still have seats open. The cost is still the same $50/family. Thanks again and have a wonderful week. -A1 Education http://www.a1education.org/ 2013-01-25 07:42:46 |

Over the years, I have sent my kids to all kinds of academic enrichment programs, eventually they were so sick and tired, they told me that I wasted my money, more importantly, wasted their PRECIOUS time. Last 2 years, I started sending my older kids to A-1 for “How to Succeed in High Schools”, I did not hear any whining and complains. Last Sunday, I sent my oldest son again to “College Strategies for Juniors”, the class hired first class instructor, and scheduled at the perfect time for us to prepare for college, my son’s friends missed the class, and he strongly encouraged his buddies to make it up and shared with his friends about what he had learned. The class is very effective and the instructor knew what she was doing. Four hours’ session ends at 8pm Sunday night, I was holding my son’s dinner outside the classroom, and came to find out that the teacher already provided them with his favorite pizza. I couldn’t be happier to see my son enjoyed the class and is willing to take more sessions from A1. 2015-09-22 08:13:30 |
