| Details: | Veterinarian Recommendations? I’m looking for a good dog vet in Reston, Sterling, or Herndon. I like our current vet, Great Falls Animal Hospital, but they charge an arm and a leg. Our annual vet bill is ridiculous. There has to be a more reasonably priced option that would still provide good, knowledgeable care for our dogs. Thanks very much for any recommendations! ----------------------------- We recently left GFAH for the same reason after 8 years. We went to Herndon Animal Medical Center and have been very happy. ----------------------------- I go to countryside animal hospital, they offer a yearly paw plan, which is like their in-house insurance, and it makes the prices pretty reasonable ----------------------------- We go to Dominion Animal Hospital in Herndon —they are wonderful ! ----------------------------- I highly recommend Sterling Animal Hospital! Caring staff and very reasonable and knowledgeable. I’m definitely changing vets! New patients have free office visit. They did such a good job and even did more than I expected and we so thoughtful and caring! ----------------------------- We’ve been going to Adams mill vet hospital on walker road. I have a seizure prone golden doodle and it’s been great! ----------------------------- Left GFAH for exactly same reason years ago. Been going to Old Mill in leesburg for years. Awesome service and 1/3 the price. That is a literal number - I called and compared exact services. Couldn’t be happier - well, I guess I would be if they were closer.. ... Second vote for Old Mill! ----------------------------- I’d recommend Dr Kathleen Phillips at Franklin Farm Veterinary... she and her staff are kind and caring, create a low stress environment for pets and Dr. Phillips is extremely knowledgeable in her field. Been going to her almost 20yrs. I’ve followed her all over VA from her start. And wouldn’t go anywhere else. Her fees are also reasonable. Definitely not GF prices. ;) check out her 5 star reviews on yelp. www.franklinfarmvet.com ----------------------------- So, I will probably get push-back from this, but we have really loved the Banfield Animal Hospital in Reston. The staff is lovely, the Docs. are great, and they really do care. The monthly plan makes if really affordable and when they are outside of their depth, they will refer you right away, keep in touch with the other doc, send any records over, etc. They know how much a pet means to you, but they are cognizant of fiscal restrictions and you are not made to feel guilty if you need ask about a cost before leaping into something. ----------------------------- The best vet around is Dr Jessica Surman at Banfield Fox Mill 2553 John Milton Dr Herndon, VA 20171 (703) 390-9150 I highly recommend her! She is so knowledgeable and has a great balance between cost of care and the animals needs. Banfield has monthly plans to help with the cost of care. ----------------------------- We take our dog to Oakton-Vienna Veterinary Hospital in Vienna, right on Maple Avenue. Dr. Christmus is the best..prices aren't all that exhorbitant but they are definitely not the cheapest option...we love them though... ----------------------------- Clocktower Animal Hospital in Herndon is fantastic. They have taken care of my dogs wonderfully for things big and small ...... Also a big fan of Clocktower. Professional and compassionate. ...... We also changed for the same reason to Clocktower last year ----------------------------- highly recommend Dominion Animal Hospital in Herndon. Dr. Boone Sr. Is great, and they have a wellness plan that helps to control the cost of caring for your precious family member! ----------------------------- I would highly recommend Church Road Animal Hospital in Sterling, they are reasonably priced and Doctor has lot of experience.
