Details: | I have one installed in my basement last year for a 10 year old house.. It reduce the radon level from 21 pCI to 0.4 pCI. I used Mike, a certified mitigation system installer. His cost is very reasonable from $800 to $1000 depending on how to set up the mitigation system in your house. I am happy with his work. The contractor info. Michael Ferraro Email: radonman@shentel.net phone: 540-335-3379 Here is small part from the contract: ============================ All mitigation fans are guaranteed from the manufacture for 5 full years & all workmanship is guaranteed for one year. Our systems are guaranteed to get the radon levels below the EPA protocol level of 2.0 pCI/l and in most cases we are able to achieve levels of below 0.5 pCI/l. Radon fans installed on the interior of the house tend to last longer, than an exterior installation. ................ Hope this help. 2015-01-21 21:30:14 |

I used same contractor Michael Ferraro as Peter did , cost is about $850, the pipe going from basement into garage then into space above garage through the roof. Installing fan outdoor is cheaper but the fan won't last as long as it's installed indoor. Excellent work, radon level at 0.5 now from 12+, the fan is extremely quiet. Highly recommended. 2015-01-21 23:16:14 |
