Oral surgery (aka Maxillofacial Surgery) is a specialty field and is an expensive operation. Which oral surgeon one may use heavily depends on the medical insurance coverage, that is, one has to choose an in-network surgeon in order to have the most cost covered by the insurance. The best way to start the search is to ask for the recommendation or referral from the dentist, who prescribes the removal of the wisdom teeth.

Having said that, I have had good experience with these two oral surgeons, both operate at Reston, Town Center Parkway. They are: Dr. Richard Wang of Oral Surgery Associates of Northern Virginia (703-435-4414), and Dr. Stuart Graves of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (703-435-7100).
